

Brian Humes, AIA, LEED AP
Brian Humes, Founding Partner of Jacunski Humes Architects, LLC, brings with him over 40 years of experience in the design and construction of municipal police and fire facilities. Over the course of his career, Mr. Humes has been involved in the space planning, needs assessment, and design of over 100 municipal police facilities throughout six states. This experience has made Jacunski Humes Architects, LLC a leader in public safety facility design with more active public safety facility design work than any other architectural firm in New England.
Mr. Humes is a Licensed Architect in the State of Connecticut as well as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2009, Mr. Humes also became a LEED accredited professional by the U.S. Green Building Council. To date, Mr. Humes has been a recurring co-author for The Police Chief magazine as well as a three time presenter on "Designing for Security" at the AIA Connecticut Training Seminar. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Architects, International Association of Chiefs of Police, New England Association of Chiefs of Police and both the Connecticut and Massachusetts Police Chiefs Associations.
Mark Allen, AIA
Mark Allen, Partner of Jacunski Humes Architects, LLC, has over 35 years of professional experience in the practice of architecture. For the last 24 of those years, Mr. Allen has devoted extensive time to the design and construction of police, fire and other municipal buildings as well as re-roofing design, exterior restoration and building envelope consulting. With comprehensive hands on experience, Mr. Allen's knowledge is critical to all building decisions where building envelope problems are an issue.
Mr. Allen is a Licensed Architect in the State of Connecticut, Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of New York and holds
B.S. in Building Sciences and Bachelor of Architecture degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has a certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Architects, International Association of Chiefs of Police, and both the Connecticut and Massachusetts Police Chiefs Associations.
W. Albert Jacunski, AIA
W. Albert Jacunski, Founding Partner of Jacunski Humes Architects, LLC, retired after 42 years of professional experience in the practice of architecture. For 30 of those years, Mr. Jacunski devoted extensive time to the sub-specialty of roof design, exterior restoration, and building envelope consulting service, making him an acknowledged specialist in the design and specification of roofing and reroofing projects. Mr. Jacunski is an Architect Emeritus in the State of Connecticut and has a Master of Architecture and Urban Design. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Architects and the Connecticut Society of Architects.
